The Berlin 2 floor at Vidnoje has been installed by HARO Sports.

The newly built Sports Facility SK “Vidnoje” was the hosting venue for the 2007 FIBA U21 World Championship for women. This is the second time for FIBA to organize such event after its first edition in Croatia, where the USA clinched the gold medal, Brazil took silver and France won the bronze medal. The FIBA U21 World Championship has been found, because it’s a great platform for international scouts to spot the future basketball starts and a great chance for young talents to gain playing time in high-level competition.

The 2nd edition in this age category was played in Vidnoje in the Moscow region, Russia from 29th June to 8th July 2007. The 12 competing teams were Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, P.R. of China, France, Hungary, Japan, Mali, Russia, Spain and USA. Eligible were all players who are born 1st January 1986 or later.  

In a battle of superpowers in the sport, the US looked to be rolling to a convincing victory over Australia after a 75-56 lead at the end of the third quarter. However, the Aussies reeled off 11 straight points to start the fourth quarter and trim their deficit to just 75-67with 6:53 remaining in contest.
In the forth quarter the United States turned back a brave Australian fightback to win the gold medal.

The Vidnoje sports complex has been chosen to host that event, because the arena complies with all FIBA equipment requirements. FIBA certifies basketball equipments such as the plying floor, basketball goals, score boards, seating, balls, and lights to guarantee fair completion at the highest level. HARO Sports has been partner of the FIBA study center for 13 years already had has already provided the floor for numerous FIBA competitions. The Berlin 2 floor at Vidnoje has been installed by HARO Sports’ exclusive distributor for the Russian Federation “Pro Athletics” from Moscow.
